MATC Motorcycle training is done in a safe environment. You will learn
the different types of motorcycles, protective riding gear, motorcycle
controls, street strategies and more. You learn basic riding skills using
our motorcycles on a closed range.
The primary training facility is at the MATC Commercial Avenue Campus.
Training is also offered at the MATC
Reedsburg campus.

Motorcycle Rider Training
Basic Motorcycle Rider Training
Even if you've never been on a motorcycle before, or if you've ridden
for years, the course will teach you skills and defensive riding tactics
that could take years to learn on your own.
These classes consist of ten full hours of actual range riding and six hours of classroom instruction
from veteran riders trained and certified by the Motorcycle Safety
Foundation and approved by the WI Department of Transportation.
If you are under the age of 18 at the time of registration or require proof of
enrollment to receive you temporary motorcycle permit please contact the
Motorcycle Office directly to obtain the necessary paperwork.
Experienced Motorcycle Rider Training
Learn how to manage your motorcycle's traction and develop your skills
enabling you to handle your bike better than you thought you could. This
course is fun, informative and range activities are designed to meet
the needs of both the veteran and recently endorsed motorcyclists.
Basic Motorcycle Maintenance
This class will consist of nine hours of classroom lecture and discussion.
There will be some hands-on training. There will also be tips on trouble-shooting,
tool requirements, shop manual usage, motorcycle storage and more.
